Without a doubt we are fortunate to live in West Michigan where we can take full advantage of winter, water and wonderful entertainment activities. People from other states marvel at all the outdoor and indoor opportunities available to us here.

Another comparable is that in large metropolitan areas people travel miles to clearly see the stars. Living in West Michigan everyone appreciates the benefit of stary skies just outside the “cities” and away from light pollution. And we love the quiet.
We all love the changing seasons. It’s good to see the new buds on trees open to leaves and then watch the leaves change colors in the fall.
Something for Everyone
There are so many activities available to us. Lighthouses are waiting to be explored. Never far away are hiking trails or trails for riding ATVs or snow machines.
In the spring, we can go to a fish ladder and watch the steelhead fish jump. Then in fall, we can watch the salmon. It’s amazing to see those large fish “climb” the fish ladder! Our favorite spot to see this is the White River dam in Hesperia.
